How Old Was Eve When She Was Tempted?
by berrygerry inhas this question ever been answered by wt or biblical apologetic?.
if near the beginning of her creation, would she not have had the effective development of a a toddler or even a baby?.
if so, would you sentence a toddler or a baby to death for grabbing an appealing candy from a bowl?.

1970 - There was a local drag strip a few miles away from the hall rented for the Circuit Assembly. There were three of us. I was 18 , Tim O. was 16 and Wayne D. was 18. Wayne had a 1955 Chevy 4 door, 6 cylinder and fresh paint job. Tim had his Dad'ss 1965 Chevy half ton. I used to drag Wayne and his Chevy with my Dad's 1968 Datsun 510 on local side roads. No traffic. We were crazy, not stupid.
Anyways, during the intermission, I think about 1 1/2 hours, something like that, we decide to just drive down to the drag strip to have a look. Nothing planned, just passing time. When we get there we find the main gate open and no one around. Of course the next thing we are doing is dragging the 1955 - 6 cylinder Chevy 4-door, three on the tree against the 1965 Chevy half-ton 6 cylinder three on the tree. We got about 5 or 6 good runs in. Just amazing. The whole drag strip to ourselves. All of a sudden the caretaker who had opened the gate and was working in one of the site building comes over in his pick-up shouting and cursing and threatening to call the police. We were 3 scared teens, not like the smart ass teens nowadays that would just give him lip. We promised we would never do it again and high tailed it out of there back to the Circuit Assembly. That afternoon we are all paying special attention to the program and looking up all the scriptures, like the good boys we were. Good memories.

She was a fine sister
by silentlambs inshe was a fine sister with a history that went back six generations with jehovahs witnesses.
her family boasted well over 1000 jw family members, many of which had high station within the organization.
this proud heritage was marred by another fact in the familys history this sister had not disclosed.

mommy - Carl Sagan on balancing openness to new ideas with skeptical scrutiny...."if you are open to the point of gullibility and have not an ounce of skeptical sense, you cannot distinguish useful ideas from worthless ones."
Of course, this also applies to what Carl Sagan said. Right?

Our sister was reproved for being molested and to add insult to injury she was not allowed to discuss the matter with anyone in the congregation to protect the “good” reputation of the pedophile.
Where did this happen? In Saudi Arabia?

WT Flip-Flops on Jesus Inspection Was it in 1918 or 1919?... Did the WT PASS or FAIL?
by Alfred inthis is utterly ridiculous.... .
the more i research this particular subject, the more flip-flops i uncover.
it seems the fds cant even make up their minds regarding what happened in 1918 (or should i say 1919?).

ARC Analysis Summary of Case Files
by Richard Oliver ini have been doing research on the arc as some people on here have suggested.
i find it interesting on the case file analysis some of the findings.
it looks like queensland and new south wales had the biggest problems with this.

Not a single instance of Child Sexual Abuse was ever reported to the authorities by Jehovah’s Witnesses.
The great incriminating, condemnatory, damnatory statement.

Griffin Assembly Hall (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) now a Megachurch
by Sanchy inmy mom, while pregnant with me, was one of thousands of jw volunteers to work on the construction of this once beautiful assembly hall in south florida circa 1984. it had a beautiful pond, waterfall, and even a resident alligator.
many remember it as well for it's huge plaster murals on the walls showing scenes of paradises.. pics as it was before (sorry for the low quality, struggled to find good pics of the auditorium as it was, if you have any good ones, do share them):.

No doubt 'dedicated to Jehovah'. It's a good thing 'Jehovah and Jesus completely trust the faithful and discreet slave' otherwise Jehovah may get really pissed off.

Life is changing for me: no pioneering, got a job!
by Skepsis ina month ago i decided to register in this board.
i had decided to step down pioneering but was frightened about the consequences.
i had finished my university degree some months before (despite disaproval from brothers in my congregation) and i had to choose: continue pioneering and working in jobs with no future or starting a career, working full-time.. i was thinking to postpone the decisiton but... i was fed up with preaching.

The greatest revenge is living a happy and successful life!
Why even use the word revenge? It's poison. Just 'go on your way'. Live a happy and successful life. Find new friends and family. Try your best to make their lives happy and successful.

It is all perspective. When FDR gave his four freedom speech in 1940 he spoke of going to two things and going from two things.
TO : FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND EXPRESSION
TO: FREEDOM OF WORSHIP
FROM: FREEDOM FROM WANT
FROM: FREEDOM FROM FEAR
What about the addict who freely chooses to take dangerous drugs? In B.C. Canada last year almost 800 people died of drug overdoses. Not the whole country but just one province. Is it a good thing they had freedom to choose? Some may say they did not because the addiction controlled them. Others argue that they choose freely.
What about freedom of speech? The freedom to subject others to slander and all its side effects. Who is to decide if it is slander? Maybe it is just the truth. It still does the same damage. We may say, so be it, they should have thought about that before they acted. Now we merely expose them for what they are. If they suffer, so be it. What about their family? Wives, husbands and children. They will be collateral damage. Should they not also have freedom the fear of their lives being effected?
What about the person whose wants far exceed his needs. More, more, more. One fears not having 10 million dollars in investments thinking he needs it for a secure future. Another fears not having a full paycheck next Friday. Should not both their wants be satisfied? Who is to decide? The answer is that Society, as a whole, has to decide. There has to be some standard to follow that is reasonable and treats all equally. Some may argue for the virtues of JW.Org based on these standards. Others argue against it.

If true, the CO's will find out what it's like in the real world. Supporting themselves and still touring the circuits at the whim of the Governing Body. I can picture some very lively discussions between Mr. CO and Mrs. CO. And so much for the Vow of Poverty, or does that not apply to the CO? Of course the only thing they will have marketable skills for is working in a fast food joint or cleaning windows. [ Marketable skills = No skills ] How many people in Mexico want their windows cleaned? That should take care of the Poverty part.
